Nauman Arfeen Showcases Fashion at Canada Lifestyle Exhibition 2026

From the runway to an exclusive exhibition, Nauman Arfeen takes Pakistani couture to a wider Canadian audience through ÉTOILE and other signature creations.

Fashion crossed borders in Calgary as Nauman Arfeen presented his distinctive vision of Pakistani couture at the Canada Lifestyle Fashion Show & Exhibition 2026. Held in Calgary from August 28 to 30, the event brought together Pakistani and South Asian designers, creative talent, brands and cultural voices on a Canadian platform.

For Nauman Arfeen, the occasion offered more than a fashion appearance. It created an opportunity to introduce his craftsmanship, design language and contemporary interpretation of Eastern couture to audiences in Canada.

A Major Canadian Platform for Pakistani Fashion

The Canada Lifestyle Fashion Show & Exhibition 2026 was presented by RMD Lifestyle Events Inc., led by CEO Hala Badar, and The World in Vogue, led by CEO Muhammad Sheraz.

The main fashion evening took place on August 28 at Dera Banquet Hall in Calgary, bringing a house-full audience together for a celebration of Pakistani and South Asian fashion, culture and creativity.

The event was directed creatively by designer Hassan Riaz, who served as Show Director and Creative Choreographer. Pakistani actor and director Saife Hasan attended as Chief Guest, while Hon. Muhammad Yaseen, Associate Minister of Multiculturalism and MLA for Calgary-North, was also among the distinguished guests.

Nauman Arfeen: A Distinctive Voice in Eastern Couture

Among the designers representing Pakistani fashion in Calgary, Nauman Arfeen brought a design identity shaped by craftsmanship, heritage and a contemporary approach to Eastern formalwear.

Known for his refined sherwanis and occasionwear, Nauman Arfeen has built his creative language around detailed craftsmanship and strong silhouettes. His work balances the richness of South Asian tradition with a modern sense of proportion, finish and sophistication.

The Calgary platform allowed that design philosophy to reach an audience beyond Pakistan.

Rather than treating heritage as something fixed in the past, Nauman continues to reinterpret it through new fabrics, textures, embroidery and silhouettes. This approach has become an important part of the identity behind Naushemian by Nauman Arfeen.

From the Runway to the Canada Lifestyle Exhibition

The August 28 fashion show was the centerpiece of the wider event, but the experience continued beyond the runway.

On August 30, the Canada Lifestyle Exhibition took place in Calgary at the Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Airport, extending the event into a broader platform for fashion, beauty, lifestyle brands, accessories, art and international business exhibitors. The exhibition also included opportunities for networking and meet-and-greet sessions with participating designers, creatives and brands.

This exhibition setting gave Nauman Arfeen another opportunity to connect with audiences and present his creations in a more intimate environment.

Among the collections presented was ÉTOILE, along with other selected creations from Nauman Arfeen.

ÉTOILE: The Brilliance of the Night Sky

At the heart of Nauman Arfeen’s exhibition presentation was ÉTOILE — a collection inspired by the brilliance and mystery of the stars.

ÉTOILE, meaning “star” in French, reflects Nauman Arfeen’s fascination with celestial grandeur. Built on a striking black foundation, the collection combines rich fabrics with intricate hand embroidery, semi-precious stones and detailed artisanal work.

Every element is designed to create depth and presence.

The dark foundation gives the embroidery and embellishment a dramatic setting, while the carefully placed stones bring a subtle sense of radiance. The result is couture that feels powerful without losing refinement.

ÉTOILE is not simply about ornamentation. It represents Nauman Arfeen’s belief that clothing can carry emotion, identity and artistic expression.

The Genesis of a Five-Part Journey

For Nauman Arfeen, ÉTOILE represents something even larger.

ÉTOILE — The Genesis is the first chapter of a planned five-part creative journey. Each chapter is intended to reveal another dimension of his vision as a designer.

The concept begins with a thought, a feeling and a dream, then transforms those ideas through fabric, craftsmanship, light and emotion.

That makes ÉTOILE an important point in Nauman Arfeen’s evolving creative story.

Its presentation in Calgary placed the collection within an international setting and allowed Canadian audiences to experience the craftsmanship behind the designs beyond a traditional runway presentation.

Pakistani Craftsmanship on a Canadian Stage

The significance of Nauman Arfeen’s participation extends beyond a single collection.

Events such as the Canada Lifestyle Fashion Show & Exhibition create opportunities for South Asian designers to connect with new markets while introducing audiences to the depth of Pakistani craftsmanship.

The Calgary event itself was built around this cultural exchange, bringing fashion, community, entrepreneurship and inclusion together. The programme also featured an inclusive children’s runway in collaboration with Calgary’s Inclusive Social Club, founded by Aneela Mir.

The evening concluded with a live performance by Shallum Xavier, founding member of Fuzön, adding music to an event that had already brought together fashion, culture and community.

For Nauman Arfeen, being part of this environment reinforced the wider role of fashion: to carry stories, craftsmanship and cultural identity across borders.

A New Chapter for Nauman Arfeen

From the packed runway at Dera Banquet Hall to the Canada Lifestyle Exhibition, Calgary became another important stop in Nauman Arfeen’s international fashion journey.

The presentation of ÉTOILE and other creations gave audiences an opportunity to experience the detail, richness and creative thought behind his work up close.

More importantly, it reflected Nauman Arfeen’s continuing effort to take Pakistani Eastern couture to international audiences while keeping its craftsmanship and cultural character at the centre.

ÉTOILE — The Genesis may be the first chapter of a five-part story, but its presentation in Calgary marked another significant chapter in Nauman Arfeen’s journey as a designer.

From Pakistan to Canada, his vision continues to travel — one creation at a time.
